"You talkin' tuh me?" (Me putting words in her mouth.)

Ashley, a fellow Murphy-Goode Lifestyle Correspondent applicant, carried a conversation over to her blog about the Average Wine Consumer.  Who are they?  What do they think?  Do they even exist?

We think they do exist and I think we both think (that’s a LOT of brain power in all that thinking) that we are both average wine consumers, give or take.

Check out her post and add to the great ongoing list of characteristics of the Average Wine Consumer.  Here are a few that I added:

THE AVERAGE WINE CONSUMER

  • Embarrassed to say, after years of drinking wine, that they still often pick off of label design
  • Added something fizzy like 7-Up or Sprite to their wine when they first started drinking…or they know someone who did (I SWEAR this isn’t me…LOL)
  • Instinctively knows that any bottle under $4 is going to taste that way, but doesn’t care when the bank account is low
  • Knows a red wine glass from a white wine glass, but thinks anything more specific is just showing off
  • Chooses wine as a thank you gift solely based on price range
  • May LOVE wine, but feels a real education in it is unnecessary unless they want to be a sommelier, critic…or French :)

Help us define that pesky average wine consumer over at her blog.

Of course, if you’re in the mood for votin’, check out Ashley’s video and mine.  You can vote for more than one, just not for the same video more than once.
